The radical act of winter rest (and why I used to dread this season)

Lead With Strength. Embody Your Truth. Spread The Love.

I need to tell you something vulnerable.

For years, I absolutely dreaded winter. The cold, dreary, dark days felt like something to endure rather than embrace. I would resist the season’s natural invitation to slow down and instead try to power through with the same energy I had in summer.

Sound familiar?

Our entire culture is set up to support this “power through” mentality. We’re expected to maintain the same pace through the holidays, through winter, through everything. But here’s the thing—our bodies and hearts aren’t designed for endless summer energy.

When I finally started honoring the natural rhythm of winter hibernation (instead of fighting it), everything shifted.

I stopped resisting the season and started flowing with it. My creativity deepened. My relationships improved. Even my business started operating from a more aligned place because I was finally working with my natural rhythms instead of against them.

The truth is—taking time to rest shouldn’t be a radical act of resistance, but in our culture, it is. And honestly? I’m okay with being a little rebellious when it comes to honoring what my soul needs.

If you’re feeling that familiar tug to slow down, to create more spaciousness, to honor the hibernation your body is craving—that’s not laziness. That’s wisdom.

Your nervous system is literally asking for this.

I created the Hibernation Toolkit because I want you to have permission (and practical tools) to honor this sacred season. Not just survive winter, but actually receive the gifts it offers when we stop fighting it.

[Grab your Hibernation Toolkit here] and start preparing for your most restorative winter yet.

You deserve to move through this season with ease instead of resistance.
