Coming at you today with a little rant on the importance of prioritizing PLEASURE…

Here’s the deal babes… we’re designed, as humans, and ESPECIALLY as women, to prioritize pleasure. 

We have a special organ, that’s unique to a woman’s body, that was designed solely to activate pleasure – with twice the amount of nerve endings (8000!) than that on a male’s body, and compared to any other human body part, yet we’ve been sold the story that pleasure is BAD, that it’s not OK to activate our senses, that sensuality is taboo, etc, etc… 

We’ve come into these earthly bodies to learn many lessons, yes, AND to also feel the full range of our senses and full depth of our emotions.

And when we give ourselves permission to do so, this is when we feel fully ALIVE, turned ON, magnetic in our lives.

That’s when the world inspires us on the daily, and when our work, especially as business owners, has the capacity to skyrocket. 

I’ve been a sensory-driven woman, well, frankly my whole life, but I’m constantly upping the ante in this department, and asking myself how can I do life and business in a way that feels really good and pleasurable to me.

Where I don’t have to grind, where things don’t have to feel really hard, challenging, or mundane, leading to that energy of burnout. 

And, I focus on this because I know this is when I’m at my most radiant, and when I’m offering my best service to the world.

I often ask myself questions like:

• How can I create the daily, monthly, and quarterly flow of my business model to reflect my needs for pleasure, joy, and sensuality as a woman?
• How can I fill my cup up holistically on a daily basis?
• What brings me joy and pleasure, and how can I infuse that more consistently into my work? 
• What do I need to cut out, and what do I need to cultivate to raise my vital life force energy so that I’m overflowing from a place of abundance for my family, my community, and the world at large?

I invite you to ask yourself these questions too – and this is really where I lean in as a coach with my clients, reminding them that it’s totally OK to feel TURNED ON, joyful, and full of pleasure and flow when building a business… 

But, that’s NOT what we’ve been taught. 

We’ve been taught to hustle, to grind, to work freaking harder… and if we’re not doing that, we’re lazy or doing something wrong. 

But, I can attest the fact that when I’ve intentionally infused what brings me pleasure and joy into my workdays, aligned my launches with the seasonal shifts, and worked SMARTER not harder, (and oftentimes when I’ve cut my hours significantly, and taken lengthy intentional breaks) this is when my business has historically skyrocketed.
