Happy 2019 sweet community!

I’m back online after another 3-week social media/email sabbatical – resulting in a super restorative holiday break, and the renewed gumption for an exciting new year ahead…I hope your holiday was restful and enjoyable for you too dear friends.

We’re cooking up some really exciting things at SBL this year and will share those with you as the year unfolds, and so grateful to have your presence in this community…thank you for being a part of it! <3

Today I led our pre-kick-off call for the Soulstice Sisterhood…it was such a powerful call, such an incredible group of women in leadership from all over the country gathering for this, and I’m so flipping excited about the journey ahead.

 

On the call I broke down the Wheel of the Year for the women, as this acts as our foundation for our yearlong circle. And since y’all hear me talk about it often, I’d thought I’d demystify it for you as well…so stay tuned below for that!

I also wanted to give you a heads up that we do have 1 space remaining in our in-person circle and 3 left in the virtual track… Again, this circle is for any women in leadership who’s called to weave more nature-based ritual, ceremony and ancient feminine practices into her day-to-day – and any woman who desires to slow down, create more spaciousness in her work-life or business, deepen her self-care and cultivate more JOY and balance in the coming year ahead.

Ok, now… onto the beloved Wheel!

The Wheel of the Year is an ancient annual cycle of seasonal festivals, used by many cultures to celebrate the transition of the sun throughout the cycle of a year.

The festivals occur evenly spaced 8 times throughout the year, and consist of the 4 High Holidays of the Winter Solstice, Spring Equinox, Summer Solstice and Fall Equinox, and the cross-quarter festivals of Imbolc, Beltane, Lammas and Samhain.

Seasonal changes were very important to ancient societies, who depended on the Wheel of the Year to determine when to plow, sow, harvest, and rest, and represented the continuing birth, death and rebirth of nature.

During the Soulstice Sisterhood, we cycle along with the Wheel of the Year – gathering for our retreats near these auspicious festival dates and aligning our personal lives, leadership and/or business actions with the cycles and seasons of nature.
